WordPress have just released their latest maintenance update (4.9.6) which includes new tools to help manage the new GDPR legislation that comes into effect next Friday.
The new features added to WordPress include:
- Ability to export and erase personal data with the consent of the user
- Settings to create or select your privacy policy page from within WordPress
- Permissions checkbox on commenting so data can be saved for future use
Every business will have different requirements in regards to covering all aspects of GDPR but these changes, especially the data handling functionality, will make it much easier for those using WordPress.
